Healing from the Inside
Sue Aery

Throughout her two professional careers, Dr. Sue Aery has achieved high levels of excellence, including being a 10-time National Platform Tennis champion followed by receiving her Doctorate of Chiropractic and her Masters in Human Nutrition degrees.

Throughout her 20 years as an athlete, Dr. Sue sought chiropractic treatment in order to keep her body ready for intense competition.  She realized the body’s innate ability to heal itself and decided that she wanted to facilitate that healing process for as many people as she could.

Dr. Sue made that career change in 2001 and graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2005.  Her new profession brought her to the mountains of North Carolina, where she set up practice and began her quest to educate and help others heal their bodies through varied modalities of treatment.  Her integrative clinic in Highlands, Aery Chiropractic & Acupuncture, offers a full range of health and wellness options.

Dr. Sue designs your treatment plan based on your exams, history, family history, radiology, and laboratory tests.  With diversified chiropractic as her main offering, she also provides contemporary medical acupuncture, sports medicine treatments, and nutritional counseling.  She has massage therapists and yoga practitioners available by appointment.  In keeping with her passion for sharing knowledge, Dr. Sue often presents free educational lectures at her office and other facilities.

Dr. Aery realized a long time ago that nutrition plays an integral role in her patients’ health and sought her second advanced degree to be able to help patients even more.  She offers blood chemistry analysis, nutrition classes, private sessions, and is an advocate of whole-food based nutrition.  Dr. Aery is currently studying for her Functional Medicine Degree because she says that’s what gets to the root cause of illness.

“I’m trying to help more people get healthy in a foundational way, which means healing from the inside rather than simply having their symptoms addressed,” she says.

Aery Chiropractic & Acupuncture is located at 2655 Dillard Road in Highlands and she sees patients Monday through Friday.  To learn more about Dr. Sue and to hear about the many services she offers, visit  AeryChiropractic.com or call the office at (828) 526-1022.
