Highlands Food & Wine Festival
Dawes

The second Highlands Food and Wine Festival is scheduled for November 9 through 12 and looks to continue last year’s theme of celebration, culinary creativity, and cool entertainment.

The festival kicks off with a Grand Tasting Thursday, November 9, at Kelsey-Hutchinson Park. Friday’s Truckin’ will again be held at Old Creek Circle. Sip and Stroll, a two-day event, starts Friday at 11:00 A.M. and be sure to attend the Highlands Restaurant Wine Dinners that evening.

Saturday brings us to The Main Event, held this year on Main Street between Fourth and Fifth Streets. This will coincide with Sip and Stroll. Highlands Restaurant Wine Dinners will be held again beginning at 6:00 P.M. The Piermont Cottage will host Sunday’s Gospel Brunch, to wind things up.

If you weren’t able to attend last year’s inaugural Highlands Food and Wine Festival, you’ll want to pay special attention to their website where there’s a full listing of the entire weekend.  The festival organizers are constantly adding updated information and exciting new details, so bookmark it now. If you had the opportunity to participate in 2016, then you already know it’s a very full weekend, and you’re no doubt already planning your itinerary.

Some of the talented chefs who will be present throughout the weekend include our own local celebrities; and there will be several returning stand-outs from last year. You can count on a growing list of newcomers, all with only the most pedigreed of credentials.

It wouldn’t be a festival without live music and Highlands Food and Wine festival offers up a wide range of acoustic delights. Truckin’ on Friday will be rocking to the sounds of Dawes. The Main Event will feature JJ Grey & Mofro then on Sunday, for the Gospel Brunch, Liz Vice will perform as will Joyful.
