Lakeside Gives Back

For the 10th season, Lakeside Restaurant is setting Wednesday evenings aside for area non-profits to join them in raising money and awareness for their causes.

Interested non-profits should contact Lakeside at (828) 526-9419 to select an available date. The non-profits are then responsible for marketing their evenings and encouraging their supporters to come out for a great dinner, while raising money for their cause. Guests should mention their non-profit when making their reservations. Lakeside will donate 15 percent of the non-profit’s guest checks that evening to the non-profit.

Since the program’s inception, Lakeside has donated more than $20,000 to area non-profits, donating over $2,000 last year alone. Among area non-profits that have benefited from these evenings in the past are Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust, Highlands Playhouse, Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival, Scaly Mountain Women’s Club, The Gordon Center, International Friendship Center, Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society, Food Pantry and Highlands-Cashiers Hospital. Many are looking forward to choosing their Wednesday night again this year.

Choose a favorite non-profit to support (or support them all) and make your reservations now.  On July 19, please come out and support The Food Pantry.  If you can’t make it then, mark your calendars to support the Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival on August 2 or the Scaly Mountain Women’s Club on August 16.

For more information, to make reservations or to sign up your non-profit for this program, please call Lakeside at (828) 526-9419. They are located at 531 Smallwood Avenue and are open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner starting at 5:30 P.M.
