White-Breasted Nuthatch
White-breasted Nuthatch by Ed Boos

Drawn to both seed and suit feeders, this acrobatic climber is often seen upside down on limbs and tree trunks. Their insistent nasal “yammering” makes their sleek black, gray and white plumage easy to spot. The Red-breasted and Brown-headed Nuthatches are smaller darts in the woods.
