Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park

Ask anyone who attended last year’s Shrimp Boil at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park and they will tell you what a great event that was.  When you combine good food with friendly smiles from your many friends throughout the Plateau and toe-tapping music on a cool summer’s eve the result is a night to remember.

Hudson Classic Catering from Lexington, South Carolina is preparing the food again this year.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Fast forward the calendar to the 2nd Annual Shrimp Boil on Saturday evening June 17th at 6:00 P.M.  Enjoy your favorite libation as you chat with friends.  The tables will be set on the stone terrace near the new fireplace.  Wafting from the large pots are the tangy smells of new red potatoes & corn on the cob, link sausage and the freshest shrimp available, um, um good.   Add warm crusty bread and a bite of sweets for dessert and you have a dinner to remember.

Boy, what a deal—all that good food for only $55 per person (includes two drink tickets too) and you are helping raise the funds to put the finishing touches on the Park.  Pat yourself on the back for your community spirit.    Gather your friends together and make it a night to remember.  Enjoy live music from Goldie & the Screamers-one of Asheville’s most popular bands delivering “Neo-Soul and old school R&B”.  One minute you will be humming along while next you will be wanting to dance the light fantastic.

Get your tickets now at foundersparkhighlands.org or by calling the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust at (828_526-1111.  Don’t delay last year’s event was immensely popular.  You don’t want to miss this fun evening.  If you can’t attend why not send a contribution anyway?
