DESCRIPTION:Come take a Walk in the Park and meet some of Highlands most important historical figures! Tickets are available from 1:00 until 3:00 for every 15 minutes. All parking will be at the Community Building or Ball Park. All ticket holders are required to show up 15 minutes before their scheduled time to board the shuttle to the cemetery and will need to be able to board a shuttle van\, walk a quarter mile and stand to listen to all performances. The total time will be approximately 90 minutes. Due to shuttle seating limitations\, late arrivals will not be accommodated. No seating is available in the cemetery. \nTickets are $25.00 per person and children under the age of 12 are free\, but must make reservations. All tickets are for reserved times and may not be exchanged for other times. \nNOTE: In the event of poor weather\, all Saturday ticket holders will attend a performance in the community building beginning at 2:00 regardless of the original reserved time. DESCRIPTION:This band hailing from Siler City\, North Carolina the textbook definition of a picturesque small southern town\, Nu-Blu’s heart and soul is husband-and-wife duo Daniel and Carolyn Routh. Carolyn’s caramel-coated soprano is one of the band’s defining traits\, at times a tender lullaby\, at times a freight train headed straight for you\, but always unwinding a surprising tale. Daniel is the group’s backbone\, a multi-instrumentalist and backing vocalist who also handles band management. Austin Hefflefinger on banjo\, guitar\, and vocals\, and Justin Harrison on mandolin\, fiddle\, and percussion round out the quartet’s warm\, layered\, Appalachian sound.
