If the black velvet nights looming above Cashiers seem so much brighter this holiday season, that’s because the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce and the Village Green have joined forces to spread a dazzling collection of lights across buildings, storefronts and natural formations.
If you start at The Crossroads and spread out through all four directions you’re going to be treated to a relentlessly cheerful display of lights that’ll cheer even the most stubborn Grinch.

In conjunction with the Chamber’s 12 Days of Christmas, it’s all part of a campaign that our art critic and cultural chronicler Donna Rhodes describes as “a welcome wow on your Goose-Bump Meter. Accompanying the lights, Father Winter and Mother Earth are an evergreen – sometimes snow-white – partnership in their fantastic seasonal presentation. The lights, the land, the scenery, are waiting for your enjoyment.”
The Village Lights luminous tradition is made possible through collaboration with the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce and local businesses. The Chamber’s Retail Roundtable coordinates bulk light purchases and assists with installations, ensuring the Village Core remains aglow and the festive spirit endures well into 2026.

And the Village Green’s holiday display stands as a beacon of this festive cheer, offering a magical escape for all who wander beneath its canopy of lights.
Once illuminated, the Green dazzles with thousands of twinkling bulbs and festive decorations woven among the evergreens. The display, open rain or shine, stretches well beyond the holidays, lifting spirits from dusk each evening and inviting guests to linger in the glow long after New Year’s celebrations have faded.

Cashiers Village Lights are more than a seasonal attraction – they’re a testament to community spirit and generosity.
While the Twelve Days of Christmas bring added musical delights and surprises to the festivities, it’s the enduring brilliance of Cashiers’ luminous display that carries that spirit into the New Year.
