Do you love ice skating? Is the idea of gliding along a frozen rink too idyllic to resist? Or perhaps you’ve always wanted to experience that exhilarating feeling and have worked up the nerve to try it for the first time.
Whatever your motivation, you’re in luck because it’s ice skating time again in Highlands now that the ice-skating rink is open for the season at the Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park.
The rink’s normal hours of operation are Thursdays from 3:30 to 8:00 P.M., Fridays from 3:30-10:00 P.M., Saturdays from 1:00 to 10:00 P.M., and Sundays 1:00 to 5:00 P.M., but they are open for extended days and hours during the Christmas holidays for everyone’s enjoyment as follows:
Open Monday and Tuesday, December 22 and 23, from 1:00-8:00 P.M.
Open Wednesday, December 24, from 1:00-5:00 P.M.
Closed Thursday, December 25
Open Friday and Saturday, December 26 and 27, from 1:00-10:00 P.M.
Open Sunday, December 28 from 1:00-5:00 P.M.
Open Monday, December 29 from 1:00-8:00 P.M.
Open Tuesday, December 30 from 1:00 P.M.-1:00 A.M.
Open Wednesday, December 31 from 1:00 P.M.-1:00 A.M.
Open Thursday, January 1 from 1:00-8:00 P.M.
Back to normal schedule on Friday, January 2.
Coffee and hot chocolate are available for purchase, and Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park is a lovely spot to relax, enjoy a toasty beverage, and spend time with your family and friends. Make plans now to enjoy some time on the ice this winter or at least drop by to watch and enjoy small-town America at its best.
