This year marks the 48th Cashiers Annual Antique Show, a long-loved tradition known for fine antiques, knowledgeable exhibitors, and an eager, well-informed crowd.

And yes, it all happens in what I consider one of the most beautiful mountain settings on earth – I admit I’m slightly prejudiced. Join us at The Village Green at Cashiers on Frank Allen Road: Friday, August 7, with Early Buying from 7:30 to 9:00 A.M. and regular hours from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.; Saturday, August 8, from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.; and Sunday, August 9, from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Exhibitors travel in from the Northeast, Midwest, Southwest, and Southeast, along with dealers from the United Kingdom – a mix that keeps the show fresh and full of surprises.

Expect treasures from the 18th century through the mid-20th century: furniture, porcelain, fine crystal and pattern glass; Oriental carpets and textiles; and plenty of fine art – paintings, engravings, maps, and needlework. You’ll also see exceptional Americana offering a glimpse into our nation’s history.

Look for polished copper and brass, silver, bronzes, mirrors and sconces, toys, and sporting items. You may spot Black Forest carvings, decorative frames, barometers, garden ornament, wrought iron, books, and pottery – from Southern folk pottery to art pottery – plus standout European and Asian porcelain.

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention our astounding collection of jewelry! You really must browse this selection to appreciate its depth.

We like to joke: If you can’t find it at our show, it probably isn’t an antique.

Advance tickets are available at CashiersAnnualAntiqueShow.com. Whether you buy online or at the door, please enter through the Lewis Hall front entrance. We accept cash and credit or debit cards.

Each paid visitor receives a blue wristband, which allows return entry on any day of the show at no extra charge.

Reminder cards are available at the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, or downloadable from our website and social media – just be sure it says “48th Annual.”

Pictured with this article is our door prize quilt – hand-quilted and appliquéd. Each paid attendee will receive an entry card, and the drawing will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday.

We’re also delighted to have Rachel Lewicki’s Secret Garden at the show, serving Southern summer fare with shaded and sunny seating available.

Children, dogs (with responsible handlers), and accredited service animals are welcome – along with exceptionally well-trained birds (sorry, no felines). If I’ve forgotten anything, please use the question section on the website. I hope we’ll see you at the show.
