Your boots are ready.
Your best friend has already laid them out for you.
You deserve this.
It’s been a long summer. You’ve worked hard. You’ve welcomed family and friends. You’ve supported causes that matter to you. You’ve dressed up for gala after gala, opened your heart, opened your home, and somehow found room on your calendar for one more event.
Now it’s time to trade black tie for blue jeans. We’ve been looking forward to this since Memorial Day.
On a lively Friday, August 21, the Cashiers‑Highlands Humane Society invites you to Paws & Boots from 5:00 – 10:00 P.M., an unforgettable country‑themed evening at Mountain Base, a remarkable private “hangarminium” near Lake Glenville in Cashiers that few people ever have the opportunity to experience.
Spend one last unforgettable summer evening surrounded by spectacular mountain views, enjoying award‑winning barbecue from Highlands Smokehouse, beer and wine, live country music by Ricky Young, unique pop‑up shopping, and the excitement of our live and silent auctions.
Leave the formalwear behind. Pull on your favorite boots. Laugh with friends. Celebrate another wonderful Plateau summer before it gently gives way to autumn.
And while you’re making memories, something even more meaningful will be happening.
Your evening will help build another remarkable place.
Proceeds from Paws & Boots will help complete the construction funding for the new Cashiers‑Highlands Humane Society Veterinary Clinic, opening in 2028. The clinic will expand access to affordable veterinary care and strengthen programs to provide local families with the resources they need to keep the pets they love. Because after all, for nearly 40 years, CHHS has not only helped build families, we’ve helped keep them together.
Tickets are available now at chhumanesociety.org/pawsandboots. Join us on August 21 at Mountain Base. Say goodbye to summer in your favorite boots, with your favorite people, while helping build something that will make a positive difference for animals and the people who love them for generations to come.
