Highland Woods, located at 470 Dillard Road in Highlands, is the Plateau’s newest home design destination, and owners Cici Moss and Rob Woods have brought a fresh perspective to the Plateau. Their bright, airy store welcomes you with an unmistakable sense of warmth, style, and possibility.
Discover beautifully curated furnishings, lamps, rugs, carpets, artwork, vases, florals, garden accents, candles, soaps, and home fragrances that come together to inspire new possibilities. They also have a collection of jewelry, totes, and personal accessories, making it just as easy to treat yourself as it is to find the perfect piece for your home.
The store blends mountain chic with coastal elegance in a way that feels effortless. Neutral, earthy tones are paired with vibrant colors reminiscent of Palm Beach and coastal retreats, proving that these styles complement one another beautifully. Traditional artwork hangs alongside bold contemporary pieces, encouraging customers to mix classic and modern with confidence.
That distinctive style is the vision of Cici Moss, who brings more than 35 years of high-end residential interior design experience to Highland Woods. Her career began in Boston before she opened a successful design studio in Charleston, South Carolina, where she spent 10 years. She later owned another thriving studio in the Lake Norman-Cornelius area of North Carolina.
During those years, she, her two daughters Natalie and Stephanie, and Rob made frequent visits to Highlands, dreaming of one day calling it home. That dream has become a reality.
Design has always been Cici’s passion. She has a wealth of knowledge in all things design with a special love for the fabric industry, art and rug worlds. Throughout her career, she has designed multiple whole-home projects and enjoyed the pleasure of working with countless fabulous clients. Today she also enjoys assisting customers in finding a single piece or accent to transform a space.
Her passion for curating has led her all over the country on buying trips. She has attended over 40 international furniture shows in High Point, NC and many at her favorite Round Top Antique Market in Texas. Highland Woods is a culmination of all her favorite things.
An avid gardener, Cici’s love of flowers and nature is reflected throughout the store. Her carefully chosen florals, botanical accents, and garden-inspired décor bring an extra layer of beauty and freshness to the collection.

Cici and Rob’s love story is endearing as well. They first met in second grade, briefly dated in college, and then went their separate ways to raise families. Twenty-seven years later, they reconnected and built a life together.
Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Highland Woods is well worth a visit.
