For nearly 20 years, this grassroots organization has transformed generosity into action, supporting trusted nonprofits that serve children, families, seniors, and neighbors facing hardship throughout Jackson County and the surrounding area.
On Monday, September 14, Cashiers Cares invites golfers and supporters to tee up for good at its Charity Golf Event at Trillium Links. Check‑in begins at 9:30 A.M., followed by a shotgun start at 10:30 A.M. The day promises mountain views, friendly competition, and the satisfying knowledge that every swing helps strengthen the safety net for local residents in need.
Proceeds from the event support a broad network of nonprofits, among them AWAKE Children’s Advocacy Center, the Literacy Council of Cashiers, Cashiers Valley Preschool, Hampton Preschool & Early Learning Center, Community Care Clinic of Highlands‑Cashiers, Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry, Four Seasons Hospice, Pisgah Legal Services, SAFE, and United Christian Ministries of Jackson County.
Together, these organizations touch nearly every part of community life. AWAKE advocates for children affected by abuse and helps coordinate care in a child‑friendly setting.
