Do your best Burl Ives imitation and sing along:

“Have a Holly Jolly Christmas,

It’s the best time of the year.

I don’t know if there’ll be snow

but have a cup of cheer.”

On Thursday, December 14 at 7:00 P.M., the Highlands Cashiers Players, co-sponsored by Highlands Performing Arts Center, will present their annual Holiday Reading program at PAC. The theme for this year is A Holly Jolly Christmas.

Every year the Players present this holiday program as a means of saying thank you to the community for their support. It’s always free and features HCP members and others reading seasonal selections, many humorous, others that touch and inspire.  Holiday songs will be presented by a special ensemble of singers from the Mountain Voices chorus.

After the show, all audience members are invited to join the performers downstairs for refreshments in the PAC reception room. If you have a Grinch in the family (or are feeling a bit Scrooge-ish yourself) do yourself a favor and attend the Highlands Cashiers Players Holiday Reading, Thursday, December 14 at 7:00 P.M.

“Have a holly jolly Christmas,

And in case you didn’t hear

Oh, by golly

Have a holly jolly Christmas this year.”
