Saturday Sojourn with Paint – Bold Expressive Portraits at The Bascom

Join Cath Connolly Hudson’s Saturday Sojourn workshop as we explore unique approaches to
capturing the essence of a portrait in one session.

The three hour class is designed for beginners. We’ll build on ideas from abstract and symbolic portraiture from Picasso, de Kooning and Kahlo and complete a portrait together.

Working on a prepared canvas board you will learn how to depict and capture personality using a
combination of acrylic paint and expressive layers of mixed media drawing materials.
All materials are provided and you’ll leave with a finished painting.
