Atcheson Encore
Written By: Wiley Sloan | Issue: 2016/06 - June
Internationally-acclaimed Steinway pianist Randall Atcheson has wowed audiences on five continents, yet he is as at home performing for the citizens of Highlands and Cashiers as he is playing for the audiences of Carnegie Hall. Atcheson loves children so he is especially thrilled when he can raise funds for the Literacy Council of Highlands.
Mark your calendars now – he’ll be performing at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday, August 3, at The Pavilion at The Farm at Old Edwards, 336 Arnold Road.
You’ll also want to attend the Patron Party on Tuesday night, August 2. This event, reserved for holders of Patron Sponsor Level tickets (Gold Level $5,000, Silver Level $2,500, or Bronze Level $1,000) will allow a select group of individuals to hear Randall perform in a more intimate setting. This too will be at The Farm at Old Edwards. Visit with Atcheson and learn what makes this son of an Alabama preacher tick.
Atcheson knows that a child who reads well has a distinct advantage in life. He teaches up to 70 youngsters a week. Plus, he works diligently to share his talents globally through his many concerts and recordings. If you’ve seen Atcheson, you know he is at home with music of all types — classical, gospel, and pop.
To purchase concert tickets ($60 each) or to become a Patron, visit the Literacy Council’s website at highlandsliteracy.com or call (828) 526-0863. Thanks to Madeline and Fred Knox for introducing Randall to the Highlands-Cashiers communities.
