Bio: Born in Savannah, on the coast of Georgia, I’ve spent most of my life in Atlanta, GA and live here now with my husband, children and a menagerie of animals. After graduating cum laude from Hollins University in 1992 with a B.A. in Studio Art, I worked at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. This is where I learned that as much as I loved my job, I wanted to make art rather than work in the arts.
A lifelong artist, I paint because it’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. I wake up, form an idea, and go. Second only to my family, animals bring me the most joy; therefore, they tend to be the subject of most of my art.
My work has been shown in several spaces in Atlanta, including Marietta Museum of Art, Buckhead & Company, Anne Irwin Fine Art, Gregg Irby Fine Art, Swan Coach House Gallery, and various locations through Atlanta Artist Collective.
