Carla Sanders Gates is a well-known face around town and is best described as a force of nature. She took her drive and dedication and, in May, opened The Plateau’s newest salon, Bombshell Hair Boutique in Cashiers.
With over 20 years’ experience she has a loyal local following and has drawn clients from as far away as Atlanta, Palm Beach, and Charleston. They come to the mountains just so she can work her magic. This is certainly a testament to her sense of creativity and the passion for what she does.
Why did she decide to open her own salon?
“I have long had a vision of what I thought a salon should be and I jumped at the opportunity,” she says. “I’m striving to create a fun, laid back, and energetic environment for my clients so they can leave their concerns at the door.”
Bombshell Hair Boutique is located at 71 Commons Drive, Suite 1 in Cashiers.
Gates has totally renovated the space into an elegant and sophisticated upscale salon, worthy of any modern metropolitan mecca. Her belief in creative transformation extends to her clients and she has received rave reviews for her innovative cuts and color techniques, thanks to her dedication to continuing education.
This mother of two accomplished sons can often be found at Highlands School supporting various sports teams and activities and has frequently been seen on stage in many Highlands Cashiers Players productions. She has never met a stranger and has a quick wit that enlivens those in her chair as well as her staff.
Bombshell Hair Boutique provides men and women of all ages the pampering and individual attention for which Carla has become known.
