December arrives in Cashiers with a special kind of sparkle — one made not only of twinkling lights and holiday décor, but of the people, traditions, and partnerships that make Cashiers such a remarkable place to live, work, and visit.
This year, the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce is delighted to help usher in the season with programs and events that celebrate the heart of our community and the joy of being together.
We begin the month with our Twelve Days of Christmas Music Series, presented in partnership with twelve exceptional local venues.
From intimate acoustic evenings to lively holiday performances, each day features a different location showcasing the extraordinary talent found across our community. Our thanks go to the restaurants, inns, and gathering spaces that help bring this festive tradition to life. We hope residents and visitors will mark their calendars, venture out, and enjoy the magic of live music throughout the season.
On Saturday, December 6, the community gathers once again for one of the region’s most beloved holiday traditions: the 51st Cashiers Christmas Parade, themed The Gingerbread Man’s Mountain March. This year, we are deeply honored to welcome Fire Chief Randy Dillard as our Grand Marshal. Chief Dillard’s decades of service, leadership, and steady presence in times of need embody the spirit of our mountain community, making him the perfect leader for this festive march.
Adding even more excitement to parade day, we are thrilled to collaborate with the Cashiers Historical Society on their inaugural Gingerbread House Competition. From whimsical cabins to edible architectural masterpieces, these gingerbread creations reflect the creativity and imagination of our local bakers, teens, families, and organizations. Winners will be announced during the parade — a sweet new tradition we look forward to building on for years to come.
As we look toward a bright new year, the Chamber proudly recognizes the Leadership Cashiers Class of 2025 — a dynamic group of emerging community leaders whose commitment to collaboration, civic engagement, and community vision exemplifies what makes Cashiers thrive. Congratulations to:
