If the town of Highlands seems even cheerier this Christmas Season, well, that’s the idea.
The Highlands Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its Trim the Town contest, running through December 24, with the winners being announced on December 25.
Every building in town is invited to participate, and chamber membership will not be a factor in participation or judging.
If you’re part of a business or organization that would like to join, you are asked to choose a theme. The theme doesn’t have to be contained within a window, but it must be visible from the street, so voting can happen at any time. And, of course, Town of HIghlands restrictions on displays must be obeyed.
The public is invited to judge the displays, with each participant being given a Trim Our Town contest poster and counter tent so that voters may participate on the spot, with each poster containing a QR code for each participant. Voters may also go online to the website on the poster.
