Then you’ll not want to miss a celebration of “La Fête Nationale Française” at The Farm at Old Edwards, July 13.
Come celebrate on the eve of Bastille Day with live music, a French-inspired meal and champagne. Bastille Day, a national holiday in France, celebrates the unity of France and commemorates the storming of the Bastille. Traditionally, it is celebrated with military parades, fireworks, speeches and, of course, wine.
The Farm at Old Edwards will be creating their very own celebration by honoring one of the most renowned vintners in France, the House of Laurent-Perrier. The House of Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot. The signature Laurent-Perrier style of freshness, lightness and elegance was developed by Bernard de Nonancourt when he revived and took over the traditional ways of champagne. He created a range of unique wines with their own history and personality. Laurent-Perrier is now celebrated for its style and the consistency of its quality, cuvée after cuvée.
The culinary team at Old Edwards will be highlighting their award-winning farm-to-table cuisine mixing the elegance of French food with the Southern flair for which they have become known. When you add in the music of “One Leg Up” and their gypsy jazz, you’ll have an evening any French national would be proud of.
The fête begins at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, July 13, and the cost is $145 per person.
