Lakeside Restaurant has been a bright spot in the Highlands dining scene for 30 years now.
That’s right, 30 years.
Hard to believe, isn’t it? Started by Marty Rosenfield, current owner Laura Huerta took over the reins in 2013.
Tucked away just one block off Main Street, Lakeside is nestled next to Harris Lake and offers fine dining inside and, weather permitting, on their outdoor patio, where pets are permitted!
Catch the last few warm evenings away from the hustle and watch the ducks on the lake.
Laura is proud that she’s kept many of the same traditions as Rosenfield and added her own touch.
Proud, she should be. It takes a dedicated vision and endless hours to keep a business open for 30 years where guest satisfaction is their main goals.
“We are a ‘yes’ restaurant when it comes to meeting the needs of the customer. All our food is fresh and cooked to order so we are great at altering any dish or accommodating allergies and dietary restrictions,” Laura said. “We welcome feedback and make changes when needed.”
They focus on fresh seafood, but have a little of everything on the menu. The staff is well-trained and the friendliest in town – they make everyone feel right at home.
She continues, “We try to keep everything on the menu seasonal depending on what is fresh and readily available. Our food is not fussy but simple, approachable, and delicious. Our outdoor area is truly special and authentic to any in town. My main goal has always been to employ nice people who truly love what they do. It’s the easiest way to run a business, and it’s what keeps our guests coming back.”
