Mary Palmer Dargan, local landscape architect and author, is inviting the public to share in nature’s bounty this summer.

She’s hosting Nature’s Kitchen, a series of workshops designed to identify and create delightful meals using the plants right under your feet. Participants will discover wild and native plants that are high in nutritional value, beautiful, delicious and free.

“My guests will enjoy foraging feasts, walks to pluck choice specimens or come to cook, slice and dice,” says Dargan.

All workshops events are held at Dovecote, her home at 35 Flash Point Drive in Cashiers. Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling (828) 743-0307 or visiting dargan.com.

Join them for a special event featuring Carl Peverall on July 1.  There will be a party unveiling new works at Dovecote from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. A morning walk will be held at 9:00 Saturday, July 2.

Here’s the lineup for this summer’s workshops:
