First Presbyterian Church of Highlands provides the soundtrack to an evening of patriotic fun with a free concert – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 4.

First Presbyterian Church of Highlands will present its annual patriotic concert at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 4.  The free concert will last one hour, ensuring plenty of time to watch the town fireworks display. 

Featured will be the Highlands Men’s Chorus under the direction of Dr. Michael Lancaster. Lancaster serves as Director of Worship/Music at Highlands First Presbyterian Church and also as Conductor of the Asheville Symphony Chorus.  The group will be accompanied by Marquita Someliana-Lauer.  Also featured will be trumpeter Larry Black and organist Angie Jenkins.

Come dressed as you are.  In the event the fireworks display is canceled due to rain, the concert will still take place.  The church is located at the corner of Main and Fifth Streets.  Handicapped accessible entrances are located on Church Street and on Fifth Street.
