We are excited to continue our 2026 Mountain Heritage Lecture series this fall. Join us on Wednesday, September 23, 3:00PM at the Crooked Corner Cabin at Cashiers Historical Society.

This month, join CHS in learning about the history of museums! As the only museum in Cashiers, we want to take moment to learn more about museums and how they continue to shape communities around the world. We’re excited to welcome Dr. Jessie Swigger, Professor of History and Director of Public History at Western Carolina University, to share about her new book on the history of children’s museums in the United States.
