Curtis Blackwell & Dixie Bluegrass Boys Curtis has had a band since 1965 and was recognized in 2011 as a pioneer of bluegrass music at the International Bluegrass Museum in Owensboro, KY. He is a former member of the Bluegrass Boys, having played with Bill Monroe in the sixties, and is also part of the Atlanta Music Hall of Fame.
