Meet The Author | Chris Aluka Berry at Cashiers Community Library

Join the Cashiers Historical Society and Cashiers Community Library on February 26th at 3:00 p.m. for an engaging discussion with author Chris Aluka Berry about his new visual history book, Affrilachia: Testimonies.

Through captivating photography, narratives, and poetry, Affrilachia: Testimonies, is the first visual history book dedicated to honoring and preserving the history of Black communities in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Berry will share the inspiration behind the project, his personal experiences, and the intimate details of creating this groundbreaking work.

This event is part of the Cashiers Historical Society’s Mountain Heritage Series and Black History Month programming.
