Over the decades, The Church of the Good Shepherd’s annual Bazaar has earned a regional reputation. It’s only natural that it’s mushroomed into the year-round Bazaar Barn, 118 US Hwy 64 West (at Shoppes on the Green).
Please join us on Friday April 21 at 11:00 AM in the Hudson Library Meeting Room for Community Coffee with the Mayor. Mayor Patrick Taylor will recognize Dr. Gary Wien, the retiring Executive Director of the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust. The topic will be: A Dialogue with Dr. Gary Wien: Highlands Future for Conservation and Land Management.
Known as the “Cheers” of Bookstores, the Bookworm in Highlands is affiliated with the Hudson Library: all books are donated; all staff are volunteers; and all funds go to help support the library. More than a retail store, we are a community service offering carefully sorted donated books to provide the best quality at a used bookstore price.

A frightfully fun family-friendly Halloween event!
Enjoy delicious culinary delights from the food vendors, plus lots of fun and games, and tricks and treats! Be sure to dress up in your most creative costume. Prizes will be awarded for best costume – Child (2-5); Kid (6-12); Teen (13-18); and Adult.
Area non-profits are invited to participate in trick-or-treating with a booth setup or decorating their cars for trunk-or-treat!

Halloween in Highlands, dubbed the Halloween on Main Street event, includes local bands, along with a DJ spinning classic Halloween-themed music.
Rotarians are volunteering to hand out free hot dogs, while plenty of local businesses will be distributing a variety of candy supplied by the Highlands Chamber of Commerce.
