Film, filmmakers, actors, directors, producers, and writers will be promoted at this 4-day event, featuring screenings of the film festival finalists, an industry professional panel, a Director and Film Critic workshop, and an awards ceremony celebrating the winners of the festival.
Studio Alive is a group of dedicated artists that share a passion for drawing from live models. The group meets in The Bascom’s Adult Studio on select Mondays, year-round.
The Fall Symposium will focus on figurative ceramic sculpture, showcasing the work of Kirsten Stingle, Natasha Dikareva, and Thaddeus Erdahl, each known for their innovative approaches to clay and mixed media. The keynote address, Not Meant to Be a Painter, will be delivered by Bethany Chaney, Executive Director of the John C. Campbell Folk School, followed by a public reception.
The Bascom's Fiber Club is made up of an enthusiastic community of fiber artists who come together weekly to share patterns and stories at The Bascom. Meetings take place on the Terrace.
