During this workshop, Travis will demonstrate making several Jugtown forms, as well as shapes made in NC for generations.
Attendants can use these forms as inspiration, and Travis will give help and suggestions as everyone creates the shapes as they interpret them. Travis will demonstrate pitchers, a few Jugtown vase forms, and a larger jar.
Over the course of three days, Travis will finish up each of the shapes, adding handles and embellishments, and in turn, everyone can see his techniques. His demonstrations and images that will be shown, along with hands on instruction, will help everyone find their approach to these forms.
Accessible for all levels of practitioners this moderately paced Hatha Flow practice of flowing movement linked with breath offers challenges and intensity with modifications and variations in order to meet each practitioner at his or her skill level.
We recommend students new to yoga begin with our Beginner and Level 1 classes first to establish comfort and familiarity of the basics of yoga before moving into a vinyasa flow class or any other mixed level class.
Class is limited to 15 people and online registration is required.
Known as the “Cheers” of Bookstores, the Bookworm in Highlands is affiliated with the Hudson Library: all books are donated; all staff are volunteers; and all funds go to help support the library. More than a retail store, we are a community service offering carefully sorted donated books to provide the best quality at a used bookstore price.
