Cashiers Library Pond Stocked with Trout

Well, in our excitement we forgot to mention some good news for Cashiers anglers -- the little pond behind Albert Carlton-Cashiers Community Library (the cleverly-named Library Pond) is also stocked by the NC Wildlife Commission with hatchery-raised fish.
We previously mentioned that Highlands’ Harris Lake has been filled with 900 trout waiting to be snagged before the arrival of spring.
Well, in our excitement we forgot to mention some good news for Cashiers anglers — the little pond behind Albert Carlton-Cashiers Community Library (the cleverly-named Library Pond) is also stocked by the NC Wildlife Commission with hatchery-raised fish.
And here’s a bit of good news that you won’t find at Harris Lake – you can use the library’s restrooms.
Oh, and one more bit of good news – if you’ve been dragged along by a serious fisher-person and you really have no interest in throwing a line in the water, you can use the library’s high speed internet connection for web browsing. Just look for the fontanalib stream, accept the terms of usage (e.g. no naughty stuff), and you’re online!
Oh, and try to avoid streaming “Jaws” and “The Creature from The Black Lagoon” for obvious reasons.
