The Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau will host its annual MayFest celebration on Saturday, May 16, from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the club’s headquarters on Frank Allen Road in Cashiers. This free event is open to all community members and families.

MayFest is organized each year as a way for the Club to thank the community for its continued support and involvement. The event brings together local nonprofits, businesses, and families for an afternoon of fun, learning, and connection.

This year’s celebration will feature nearly 40 local nonprofits and businesses, each hosting interactive activities inspired by the theme “Fun with Purpose.” Attendees can explore hands-on learning experiences, creative games, and engaging demonstrations that showcase the many ways organizations across the Plateau serve the community.

There will also be plenty of exciting surprises throughout the afternoon. Guests can look forward to a visit from MAMA, the helicopter, an appearance by PAWS, the Western Carolina University mascot, and even live llamas. Add in delicious free food, live music, and activities for all ages, and MayFest promises to be a lively afternoon that everyone will enjoy.
