The September installment of Groovin’ on the Green welcomes McIntosh and the Lionhearts for a free concert from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. at The Village Green, 160 Frank Allen Road in Cashiers. It’s an evening tailor-made for lawn chairs, picnic blankets, coolers, and the relaxed pleasure of hearing live music as late-summer light settles over the mountains.
The band is billed locally as McIntosh and the Lionhearts, and The Village Green has welcomed them as part of its community concert series before. Personal tents are not allowed, though 10×10 tent rentals are available for groups, with proceeds helping support The Village Green’s nonprofit programming.
