Why do the women of the Scaly Mountain Women’s Club work so hard? Just ask any one of them and they’ll you, it’s all about the Scholars. We currently award 12 full-time scholarships to local students but not without the support of our amazing communities, near and far.
This month, all hands are on deck for our much-anticipated Annual Auction. This grand event brings in the majority of our scholarship funds, and you won’t want to miss it! The Auction Committee, chaired by Susie Graham along with co-chairs Pat Leaptrot and Barb Dougherty, are excited about the new venue – Twilight and Tapas. The auction will be held at the Sky Valley Country Club on Sunday, July 17, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. It will include both a silent and a live auction with favorite items such as golf packages, adventure packages, a one-week beachfront stay, two nights at any Intercontinental Hotel, private dinner for 12, original art pieces, and much more.
The cost is $50 per person and includes heavy hors d‘oeuvres, one complimentary wine, and live entertainment; a cash bar will be available and attire is dressy casual.
