Hosted at Skyline Lodge against the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, this event offers an al fresco steakhouse dining experience. Featuring collaborations with renowned chefs from around the country and Oak Steakhouse’s culinary team, each four-course meal will be family-style and is unique and personalized to the guest chef.
Chef Rob McDaniel is the Executive Chef and Owner of Helen and Bayonet in Birmingham, Alabama, where he showcases a thoughtful approach to contemporary Southern cuisine. Inspired by the traditional foods of his upbringing, McDaniel has built a career centered on honoring regional ingredients, foraging, and sustainable practices, developing a style that balances rustic roots with polished execution. A six-time James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: South, has earned national recognition for Helen, which has been featured in publications including Esquire, Food & Wine, and Southern Living. With seafood-forward restaurant Bayonet, which gained national acclaim after its opening with recognition from The New York Times’ prestigious list of America’s Best Restaurants of 2025, Southern Living, and more, his seafood-forward concept, he continues to explore the bounty of the Gulf and beyond. His cooking reflects a reverence for the land and sea, and guests can anticipate a menu that is both deeply Southern and thoughtfully refined.
