Dr. Sharon S. Meyer and Dr. Paul S. Cabiran
Highlands Dermatology is delighted to welcome Dr. Sharon S. Meyer, M.D., F.A.A.D., an accomplished dermatologist whose blend of clinical expertise and patient‑centered care makes her an exceptional addition to the practice.
Founded by Paul S. Cabiran, M.D., F.A.A.D., Highlands Dermatology is known for its thoughtful, individualized approach to skin care and its deep commitment to the Highlands‑Cashiers community. With Dr. Meyer joining the team, the practice continues to expand its tradition of trusted, relationship‑driven dermatologic care.
A board‑certified dermatologist with more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Meyer brings a reputation for honesty, clarity, and long‑standing patient relationships. “I treat patients as I’d want to be treated – being honest about treatments, costs, and what’s best for their skin.”
Her work spans both medical and cosmetic dermatology, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, rashes, full‑body skin exams, and skin cancer detection, as well as neurotoxins, fillers, and aesthetic treatments.
Dr. Meyer earned her B.S. (Cum Laude) from Louisiana State University and her M.D. on a full scholarship from Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her internship at Tulane Affiliated Hospitals, followed by a Fellowship in Clinical Dermatology Research and a dermatology residency at Tulane. She later served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tulane and mentored medical students as a Community Preceptor.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Meyer enjoys pickleball, golf, and time with her children and grandchildren. She and her husband, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Richard “Rick” Meyer, are currently finishing their home in Old Edwards Club, where they look forward to becoming part of the Highlands community.
