Fall on the Plateau is hard to beat, and the annual Cashiers Valley Leaf Festival is a great way to enjoy the season.
The festival returns to the beautiful Village Green from Friday, October 9, through Sunday, October 11, bringing thousands of visitors together for a fun-filled weekend surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery and brilliant fall color.
One of the biggest attractions is the impressive lineup of more than 100 carefully selected artisans. Stroll through the Green and you’ll find an amazing variety of handmade and one-of-a-kind items, including fine furniture and woodwork, pottery, jewelry, paintings, carvings, textiles, garden art, sculptures, and plenty more.
Whether you’re searching for a special addition to your home, shopping for a unique gift, or just enjoy seeing artists at work, you’ll have lots to explore.
And while the shopping is certainly a highlight, the setting makes the experience even better. With The Village Green surrounded by the beautiful autumn landscape, wandering from one booth to another feels like a relaxing fall day outdoors. Add in live music, good food, and plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, and it’s easy to see why this festival has become such a popular local tradition.
Of course, you won’t have to go far to find something tasty. Festival favorites Elevated Kitchen, Crossroads Custard, Country Kettle Corn, Chili Chomper, and Under the Reign Lemonade will be serving up food and refreshments throughout the weekend. Grab lunch or a snack, settle into a shady spot, and enjoy all the sights and sounds around you.
Music will be another big part of the weekend, with performances taking place throughout the festival. The lineup includes Emily Dawn, Shawn James, bluegrass favorites Young Mountain Magic, and folk musicians Bird In Hand. Whether you stop for a few songs or stay awhile, there will be plenty of opportunities to sit back and enjoy some great local and regional talent.
Festival hours are 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday; with Sunday hours from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Parking is free, and restrooms are available.
