Highlands residents since 2001, owners Elena and Vance Wood opened the boutique as the 57th store in the Monkee’s family, which began in Wilmington, North Carolina, in 1995. Their goal is simple: make shopping feel personal, easy and fun. The racks reflect that philosophy, with a lively mix of women’s apparel and accessories chosen to appeal across generations, occasions and price points.
Elena, who also owns Elena’s Women’s Golf & Activewear in Highlands, brings a practiced eye to the selection, while Vance’s longtime business experience complements the family-run operation. Daughter Natalie is part of the team, too, as is Penny, the family’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Come for the clothes; stay for the welcome.
