For the past several years, the youth at Highlands United Methodist Church have operated a Pumpkin Patch on the church’s front lawn to raise funds to support their Youth Ministries. That money has boosted local, community-wide service projects, working with the homeless in Atlanta, and helping to feed the hungry in Haiti and many other projects.
Not only do these projects change the lives of the people served, it teaches the youth valuable lessons that they’ll use throughout their lives.
The pumpkins will arrive on Wednesday afternoon, October 4, and be available until they are all sold. Big or small, round or oval pumpkins come in varying sizes that will spruce up your home décor. Enjoy one-stop-shopping.

Bring the kids and grandkids to the Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 7, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on the front lawn of the church at 315 Main Street in downtown Highlands. In addition to a tasty lunch of hot dogs and bratwurst fresh off the grill with all the fixings, chips and a beverage, all for only $6. The kids will enjoy both pumpkin- and face-painting. Grandma’s Bakery will offer some tasty homemade baked goods. Get enough to enjoy some now and put some in your freezer for later.
