The Rotary Club of Highlands was honored to host Danielle Hernandez-Juarez, Program Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters WNC, at a recent club meeting.
The youth organization’s mission is to “Create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.” Joining the organization 5 years ago, Danielle immediately became a “Big Sister” and has grown in enthusiasm and commitment to the mission and promotion of reaching today’s youth. Through volunteer mentorship through a variety of activities such as school games/programs attendance, hikes, and other informal activities, vital relationships and mentorships form “that ignite the power and promise of youth.”
