Trombone Shorty, Charley Crockett to Headline 2026 Bear Shadow Spring Music Festival

The 2026 Bear Shadow music festival lineup features headliners Trombone Shorty (Saturday) and Charley Crockett (Sunday). Mavis Staples, Margo Price, Marc Broussard, Kashus Culpepper, Pony Bradshaw and J & The Causeways will also perform, according to an announcement from Highlands Festivals, Inc. today. The music festival is set to return to Highlands, NC, from May 29th-31st, 2026.

The Village Green is pleased to announce the appointment of Dale Gordon as its new Executive Director, beginning Nov 3rd. Dale brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, community development, media, events and public service – and was named one of Tampa Magazine’s Top 10 Leading People in 2016. Since 2018 she and her husband have lived and worked on the plateau and raised their 2 sons here.
