The Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation (the Health Foundation) has announced the start of its 2025 LIFT Grant cycle. The Health Foundation’s LIFT Grants will support and fund programs that focus on one or more of their three strategic priorities: Access to Primary Care, Access to Behavioral Health, and the Well-being of Infants, Children, and Adolescents.
“Grants serve as the primary means for the Health Foundation to enhance health and well-being within the communities we support,” said Dr. Barbara Corcoran, Health Foundation Board Chair. “We are excited to continue our commitment to addressing challenges, implementing effective solutions, and creating meaningful, positive changes in people’s lives.”
The Health Foundation has awarded 153 grants totaling $10.2 million to 88 organizations since February 1, 2019. The 2025 LIFT Grant cycle will continue to support transformative programs that align with the mission to enhance the health and well-being of everyone in our communities.
In 2024, the Health Foundation demonstrated its dedication to supporting organizations that improve community health and well-being. Through strategic partnerships, the Health Foundation provided essential funding for initiatives such as nurse family partnerships for first-time mothers, resources for survivors of abuse, access to colorectal screenings, dental care access, relief and recovery services for those affected by Hurricane Helene, support of primary care on the Plateau provided by Blue Ridge-Health Highlands Cashiers, and many more. These investments not only improve access to vital healthcare services but also enhance the overall health and well-being of everyone, helping to build healthier and more resilient communities.
The Pre-Application period for the LIFT Grant cycle will end on July 30 at 5:00 p.m. Invitations to complete full applications will follow, with grant awards anticipated in November.
