As the crisp promise of fall begins to stir in Cashiers, Bucks Coffee Café is serving up something warm, comforting, and irresistibly delicious. This season, the café’s pastry case is brimming with handcrafted delights from French Broad Pastries—a beloved Western North Carolina bakery known for its flaky croissants, fruit-filled danishes, and cinnamon rolls that taste like autumn mornings.
Made from scratch with real butter, seasonal fruits, and locally sourced flour, each pastry is a celebration of craft and care. Whether it’s a golden morning bun or a savory quiche, these treats pair perfectly with Bucks’ signature Café Campesino coffee and the cozy ambiance that makes the café a cherished gathering spot.

Since opening in 2008, Bucks has been more than a coffee shop—it’s a community cornerstone. Under the ownership of Steve and Stephanie Miskew since October 2021, the café continues to honor its legacy while embracing fresh energy and culinary creativity. The Miskews were drawn to Bucks’ welcoming spirit. “It was clear this was a place where people came together to create memories,” Stephanie recalls.

That spirit now extends to Bucks’ evolving offerings, including its Buck’s Wine Atelier program and seasonal evening events. Stephanie—a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, CSW, and WSET III, and a former Fox News Food & Wine Contributor—also hosts exclusive wine tastings and pairing events, including the popular #WineWednesday series.
Whether you’re savoring a French Broad pastry by the fire or sipping a bold red or delicate white, Bucks Coffee Café offers a warm welcome to the season ahead.
