It’s here! Announcing our new Annual Fund: One Table, One Community. Today, we’re proud to launch the International Friendship Center’s first-ever Annual Fund—a new and exciting way to nourish, sustain, and strengthen our community year-round.
With a goal of raising 125,000 by June 30, this campaign comes at a time of record need. In February alone, the Highlands Food Pantry served 1,847 individual visits in just 11 open days, as families across Highlands, Franklin, and Cashiers work to stretch every dollar. Many are working parents, seniors, and seasonal employees who simply need a consistent, dignified place to turn when the month lasts longer than the paycheck.
At the same time, IFC is responding to deeper challenges beyond hunger. This spring, 40 students are enrolled in our English Language Learners program, including teens using their new laptops to keep up in school and build brighter futures. Through initiatives like Healthy Women, Healthy Homes, we’re helping families repair unsafe housing conditions and improve their health today—so they can focus on work, school, and community tomorrow.
