A lakefront house inside Cullasaja Club doesn’t come along often. One that is single-level, fully renovated, and positioned directly on Lake Ravenel is rarer still. 120 Ravenel Point, offered at $3,600,000, brings that combination to market. The property is represented by Jody Lovell of Highlands Sotheby’s International Realty.

Built in 1998 by John Koenig, the house was conceived with a clear awareness of its setting–low to the ground, spread across a single level, and oriented toward the water. What distinguishes it now is how that original intent has been carried forward. After purchasing the property in 2021, the current owners undertook an eighteen-month renovation that sharpened the connection between the house and its surroundings.

The kitchen was rebuilt with new appliances and opened more fully to the main living areas, allowing the house to move more naturally from room to room and outward toward the lake. The primary suite was reworked with an expanded closet and a fully redesigned bath, while an additional guest bath was upgraded. Outside, the changes are just as deliberate: a separate golf cart garage, an enlarged dock, and a reconfiguration of the rear living spaces that draws daily life toward the water. A full-house generator adds a practical layer of reliability, ensuring the home functions seamlessly year-round.

The layout remains one of its strongest attributes. Everything unfolds across a single level, with roughly 4,000 square feet arranged for both access and privacy. The primary suite occupies one side of the home, while two guest suites are positioned on the opposite wing. A fourth suite above the garage – accessed from within – adds flexibility without interrupting the main living areas.

At the back of the house, that relationship to the landscape becomes more pronounced. The former deck is now a Carolina room, enclosed and anchored by a substantial stone fireplace – an easy place to settle in as the weather turns, whether with a blanket and a glass of wine or simply watching the light shift across the lake. Just beyond it, a three-season summer kitchen serves as a true second workspace—integral, not incidental.

From there, the house opens directly to Lake Ravenel. The 30-acre private lake, stocked each season with trout and bass, supports paddleboarding, canoeing, and small fishing boats, with the enlarged dock providing immediate access. It’s a setting built for regular use – paddleboards, a fishing rod, or simply a place to sit as the lake settles at the end of the day.

Cullasaja Club spans roughly 680 acres and includes an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, clubhouse, tennis courts, croquet lawns, and a recently completed wellness center. Its location places it between Highlands and Cashiers, with convenient access to both.

Lovell, who has owned Highlands Sotheby’s International Realty for 26 years and is the top-producing broker in North Carolina, understands exactly what this represents. A single-level home, fully renovated, with direct lake access inside Cullasaja is not something buyers wait to think about. It’s something they recognize immediately – and act on.
