Paul and Erin Gaglio
Owning a getaway mountain home often means relying on someone else to take care of things.
That’s the role Property Stewards Highlands is designed to fill.
Led locally by Paul and Erin Gaglio, franchise owners of the Highlands branch, the company provides structured property supervision and project oversight for homeowners who live elsewhere but want consistent care and reliable eyes on their homes year-round.
The foundation of Property Stewards’ work is a program of regular property visits—scheduled weekly, twice monthly, or monthly, depending on the owner’s needs and the property.
These visits are thorough and hands-on. Inside the home, systems such as HVAC, thermostats, plumbing, water heaters, and appliances are checked, while doors and windows are inspected for security and weather exposure. Attention is paid to signs of leaks, moisture, pest activity, or electrical issues – problems that can quietly escalate when a home sits unattended.
Outside, visits extend to roofs, decks, gutters, drainage, and exterior systems, along with changes in landscaping or water flow that could affect the home over time. The emphasis is preventative care. When something looks off, homeowners are notified promptly, with clear communication about what’s been found and what steps are recommended next.
Paul oversees field operations, bringing a methodical, detail-driven approach to maintenance coordination and long-term upkeep.
Erin manages client communication and organization, ensuring homeowners receive consistent updates and don’t have to handle logistics from a distance.
Together, they combine the structure of the Property Stewards brand with the attentiveness of a locally run business.
In addition to property visits and maintenance, Property Stewards offers a concierge service to support homeowners arriving in Highlands or preparing for a stay.
That service can include arranging a private chef, stocking groceries ahead of arrival, picking clients up from the airport, or coordinating services such as golf cart maintenance. The goal is convenience—helping owners transition easily into their time in the mountains without added errands or planning.
Outside of Highlands, Paul and Erin also own Holistic Mountain Market on Savannah Street in downtown Clayton. The market offers organic groceries, smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, local produce, honey, and supplements. Though separate from their property stewardship work, it reflects the same attention to quality and care that defines their approach to business.
For the Gaglios, stewardship goes beyond maintenance. It’s about consistency, trust, and presence—providing second- and third-homeowners with confidence that their Highlands home is being watched, protected, and thoughtfully cared for, even when they’re far away.
