Join us for a wonderful, driving tour of the winding, and scenic roads of Western North Carolina mountain. Two tour groups daily with a longer more spirited drive on Thursday and the shorter more casual paced drive on Friday.
On Friday evening, spectators will gather along Main Street in Highlands to watch over a hundred classic cars cruise by, driven just as they were meant to be. This event is always free for both spectators and participants.
Highlands is serving up the bounties of its local farmers, artisans, and kitchen masters at Highlands Farmers’ Marketplace from 8:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. Saturdays at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park.
The centerpiece event of the festival is Saturday's concours level judged showing of invited classics. The 2025 featured theme is "The Cars of Enzo Ferrari". All pre-1990 makes and models are eligible to apply for invitation. This event is free for both spectators and participants, but donations are appreciated.
Sapphire Valley Resorts’® Arts & Crafts Festivals are a great family event! There’s much to explore – local handmade mountain crafts, quality folk art, live music, fine jewelry, Humane Society Adoptions, and much more! Adjacent to vendor tents, the resort playground provides fun outdoor playtime for the entire family. Kids can also enjoy Corn Hole, Kerplunk, and Buckets of Bubble Mix for kids to blow bubbles! Bring the kids, dogs, and explore something new!
The next Game of Shrooms happens on June 14th, 2025. On that day, artists from all over the world hide their original mushroom-themed art works in public places then they give hints (often on social media) for others to find AND KEEP!
Art Highlands Gallery introduces William's globally celebrated work to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Come dine with old and new friends at the Wild Cat Country Club. You will hear tales of classic automobiles from the festival's Grand Marshall, Corky Coker.
The evening will also include silent and live auctions of selected automotive memorabilia from the collection of Dr. Terry Clark and others.
