The Art League’s next meeting takes place Monday, September 29 on The Bascom Terrace, with social time at 4:30 P.M. and the meeting at 5:00 P.M. Guest speaker Lila McAlpin—Red Ribbon winner at this summer’s Colors Fine Art Show—will share her plein air process and offer a live painting demo. Free and open to all.

Town of Highlands Mayor Patrick Taylor Has Proclaimed the Week of September 1st as Dahlia Week
The Bascom: A Center for the Visual Arts will host the 15th Annual Dazzling Dahlia Festival from September 4–6, 2025. This community-centered program brings horticulture into dialogue with the visual arts through a weekend of public events, including a fall reception, floral installations, a juried single bloom competition, studio pottery offerings, and educational presentations.
