Our guest speakers today, Halloween Day, at the Rotary Club of Highland were two very important people in Highlands community, Sarah Holbrooks and Alyssa DeBois.
Sarah is the Principal at the Highlands School, and Alyssa is the new Assistant Principal. Sarah has been at Highlands School for the past five years as Assistant Principal before becoming the principal this year.
These two leaders at our school shared how the students interact across all grades and how the children are exposed to many different programs within the school to add to their growth. The school and these educators also have challenges to face with hiring and retaining teachers, limited school space, and the new needs for heightened security for the school.
They invited all who are interested to visit the school and become acquainted with volunteer opportunities at the school. Call 526-2147 for more information.
Quick note. They don’t always dress as “Mario and Luigi”, only for Halloween!!!
