Wellbeing at Old Edwards Hospitality increasingly extends beyond massages and facials into something more immersive and restorative. From the traditional luxury of The Spa at Old Edwards to the more contemplative healing work unfolding at Serenity Spa at Half-Mile Farm, the focus has broadened toward movement, nervous-system restoration, and experiences designed to slow guests down in a meaningful way.
Some would call Nalu Leon a Massage Therapist. She prefers, “Healing Arts Practitioner” – a title that better reflects the breadth of what she brings to the private Half-Mile Farm. A licensed massage therapist with nearly three decades of experience, Leon joined the Old Edwards Hospitality family eight years ago and has since helped shape the property’s offerings into something considerably deeper than a spa menu.

Nalu Leon
“We offer a variety of healing modalities and complimentary wellness experiences for hotel guests,” Leon says. Among them is manual lymphatic drainage, an 80-minute treatment using gentle circular strokes to encourage the body’s natural detoxification process. Unlike traditional massage, no oil is used and the touch remains intentionally light. Leon describes the work as helping move fluid and toxins through the “waterways” just beneath the skin – particularly important, she notes, as the lymphatic system naturally slows with age.
That same principle of subtle intervention runs through the other therapies Leon offers. Craniosacral therapy uses delicate pressure to release restrictions in the central nervous system and restore balance to the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. Reiki, the ancient Japanese energy practice, addresses both physical and emotional wellbeing, while sound healing sessions use tuning forks calibrated to Solfeggio frequencies to encourage relaxation, clarity, and emotional release.

Beyond the treatment room, Half-Mile Farm’s complimentary weekly wellness classes give hotel guests a way to move and restore each day. Aqua Fit runs Tuesday and Thursday mornings; Wellness Wednesdays offer Slow Flow Yoga, Super Stretch, and an evening sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls, chimes, and frame drums; Saturday mornings bring Rise & Shine Slow Flow Yoga. Later this summer, the plan is to introduce floating sound baths at the pool, where guests drift weightless in the water while receiving sound healing frequencies.
Those drawn to a more traditional spa experience will find a full range of luxury amenities at The Spa at Old Edwards, which is open to the public – massages, facials, hydrotherapy, nail services, steam rooms, a sauna, and the signature 14-head Swiss shower – a fitting counterpart to the quieter work unfolding just down the road.
