Join us for a wonderful, driving tour of the winding, and scenic roads of Western North Carolina mountain. Two tour groups daily with a longer more spirited drive on Thursday and the shorter more casual paced drive on Friday.
In our fast-paced society we can become addicted to our sense of urgency. Give yourself the gift of slowing down. Slow Flow is an easy paced class suitable for all levels of yoga experience.
The mission of the Food Pantry of Highlands is to provide nutritious food to anyone who meets the income eligibility guidelines for USDA food. In the winter months, the economies of Highlands and Cashiers slow to a standstill. This, combined with increased heating costs, drains funds from the family budget that would normally be spent on food.
Known as the “Cheers” of Bookstores, the Bookworm in Highlands is affiliated with the Hudson Library: all books are donated; all staff are volunteers; and all funds go to help support the library. More than a retail store, we are a community service offering carefully sorted donated books to provide the best quality at a used bookstore price.
Come join us for lunch each Thursday at 11:30 at a local restaurant and then quilting at the church.
Held at St Jude's Catholic Church in Cashiers.
Brats, Beer & Volunteers brings the whole Plateau together for an afternoon of connection and community impact. Join us Thursday, June 11 at Whiteside Brewing Co. to explore volunteer opportunities, meet local organizations, and enjoy good food, cold drinks, and great company.
Join a welcoming group of people that understand what you are going through. We come together to offer each other support, resources, and a listening ear.
Every Thursday at 3:30, kids can enjoy a variety of fun and educational activities at Hudson Library! Kids Zone programs are free and open to the public. Programs are designed with kids in grades K-5 in mind.
Our 2026 Grand Marshall, Wayne Carini, will be on hand to meet and greet. He will join other classic car authorities in a panel discussion.
Join us in the Trailborn Highlands backyard for live music and drinks during our Carolina Concert Series!
This popular community event returns monthly on Thursday nights from 6:30–8:30 p.m., bringing neighbors together while supporting local charities and nonprofits. Each evening’s proceeds benefit a different organization, making it a fun and meaningful way to give back to the Plateau.
